North Cape

Long Drive

We visited the North Cape, so now I can say I have been at the northern tip of Europe.

Beyond telling you about the North Cape, I would like to make a few observations.

Velcro

Knit scarf and wool gloves carry on a constant battle with velcro closures on your gloves.

Layers

There is definitely an art to dressing in so many layers and still having reasonable flexibility.

Identity

When you are traveling with a group during cold weather, be sure to figure out what they look like all bundled up in layers.  I got separated and had difficulty reconnecting with the group. Everyone looked the same.

Photos

It is frustrating to pass beautiful scenery and only have a fleeting moment to capture a poor shot through the bus window.  Just as frustrating to spend too much time tying to locate the group than to take photos.

Selfies

Impossible skill that I clearly have not mastered.

Sharing

Great thing about being in a small group (we are only 18 of the 500 on board) is that when someone does get a great shot they share it with all on the WhatsApp. I am keeping notes on who actually took each photo.
