What A Start !!
Well, as I said in the first post, I have been fussing over what to pack for this trip for a long time. Finally, the day came to head out. I was so ready I packed and ready to go early. Margaret and Tord was kind enough to give me a ride to the airport. Dropping luggage and going through security was a breeze since it was early. Everything was going GREAT . . .
. . . UNTIL I got to the gate. That was when I discovered I had not picked up my brand new winter coat that had been on the back of my office chair ready to go. Embarrassed, I called Margaret since she had a key to my apartment. Bless her heart, she made another dash to the airport to bail me out!!!
Finally in the Air
Finally we boarded the airplane, We flew from San Antonio to DC; DC to Frankfurt Germany; and at long last Frankfort to Bergen, Norway.
All of the flights and connections went smooth. But all the flying was very long and tiring.
Looking forward to heading to the ship tomorrow. For now – SLEEP
Surprise
While we didn’t plan it this way, our trip began on my birthday and Donna’s birthday is two days after mine.
Today after we boarded our final flight, the flight attendant came to me and ask me my name. I thought I had done something wrong. I was blown away when he asked me if was my birthday. When I told him it was, he handed me a little gift.
Boy was I surprised.
